My first love of the breed had started many years a go when my friend had acquired a Khorresan Afghan a beautiful cream bitch and has fate would have it I was destined to own one and over the years quite a few.........each one different in their own little way.

In 1978 Roger's work had meant us moving to Brighton and it was a year later that we acquired our first Afghan Hound and "Orashan Afghans" was established in 1979.

Since then we have shown and loved our dogs and bred just two litters ourselves. We have both had an active interest in the breed for many years and from what was originally just learning more about the breed, we have been lucky enough to have steward many times at Crufts, judged both in the UK and abroad. In addition we are both Secretaries of Canine Societies.

Our daughter 'Naomi', now 24, has over the years owned, shown stewarded and recently started judging this beautiful breed.
